Grizzly Salmon Oil contains extremely healthy, long-chain Omega-3 fatty acids and natural anti-oxidants derived only from wild Alaskan salmon. These fish spend their lives foraging on a natural pacific Ocean diet. This oil is not a generic fish oil of unknown origins. It is the highest quality, with a perfect ratio of Omega 3 to 6. Beware of a diet too heavy in Omega 6 (which can happen when feeding kibble).
Adding the best oils to your dog's food is a must have for all healthy hounds. Omega 3 Fatty Acids:
- help maintain healthy skin
- support the immune system
- help lower inflammation
- help with pemphighus and SLO conditions - 6000 mgs daily.
- encourage a better appetite
Omega 3 Fatty Acids - DHA - minimum 29% (385 mg) . EPA - minimum 9% (290 mg)
Omega 6 Fatty Acids - minimum 3% (95 mg)
This is a 5:1 ratio, which is perfect for hounds. Many fish oil products have too much Omega 6, and not enough Omega 3. Check your labels.
One pump: 32 oz = 355mg DHA, 320mg EPA, 935mg Omega-3, 95mg Omega-6 (ratio 187:19)
Regular dosage is three pumps a day for a dog over 50 lbs. That is 3000 mgs. So simple. No mess. Dogs love it and thrive on it.
We have:
- 32 oz bottles - $50.95
- 16 oz bottles - $27.95
We no longer carry the 64 oz.
I personally give it to all my dogs, no matter what the age. It requires no refrigeration. I also give Organic Coconut Oil. Info here.
A 32 oz bottle, at 3 pumps a day for two dogs, lasts a month. No need to refrigerate. Just keep in a cool, shaded area.
As always, proceeds help hounds.
Wild Pollock Oil - info here. It's a less expensive alternative to Salmon. Still the good omega 3's, just with less immune fighting properties than Salmon Oil.
