The Greyhound Gang is a tax-exempt, non-profit organization that rescues, rehabilitates and adopts out greyhounds. In 1995 I started with 11 greyhounds, right off the track, in a two room garage apartment. Those and another 500 or so have found forever, loving homes with the help of the Gang.

The Gang continues to evolve to meet the needs of greyhounds still in need. Fundraising has become an integral way to help other groups help greyhounds. Our myriad of fundraisers includes:

Smiles

This is Smiles. Broke his leg when a puppy, slated to be destroyed by breeder. Greyhound farm employee took him home, and he lived with a crooked, broken leg outside for a year with a pitbull. She had a baby, and no longer wanted Smiles. We took him in, loved him and fixed his leg. Two years, and $5000 later...

SmilesHe is one of the most loving greyhounds to have spent time with the Gang. You can read his exciting adventure to a new life by joining the Greyt Angel program.

Leg Up Fund
This bone shows the money raised for Greyhound Adoptions of Florida through the Gang's Auction in 2002 to help 40 broken legged dogs in Florida find their forever homes. Our bills totaled $12,005. Additionally, Alane Schultz of GPA-MO helped us by sending $325 raised from their greyt Avon sale! Angela Curtis ran an auction and sent us $300. At Dewey, Secret Pals from the GH-List donated $450 towards these bills, and another $450 directly to GAF. Carla Myers created purses and stockings and auctioned them to raise $160. A Very Big Thank You to everyone!

In 2002, we also paid for $1000 of tick titer tests for Greyhound Adoptions of Florida; donated to the Greyhound List monthly groups; paid $1650 toward FL dogs hauls; helped out Scooby, and others. We donated 63 packages of product (average $75 per package) to adoption group fundraisers. And about 600 samples of Get Up & Go to people adopting older and broken legged greyhounds.
